Estimates, Site Review, Design Recommendations

Fireplaces: Estimates are provided as part of our service. We want to review site realities to ensure best performance, operation and clearances. Design recommendations focus on proportions to the room as well as heating capacities. If heating needs are important.

Spas: We provide a site review to determine the best and safest way to get the spa where you want it. We also will recommend orienting the spa for better access and enjoyment, as well as maximizing privacy and reducing environmental related challenges (like icicles).

Outdoor Kitchens: Creating an exciting, well-thought out exterior entertainment/cooking area requires lots of considerations. We are happy to go over your ideas and help in designing the ultimate outdoor cooking area.

Local Delivery

On purchases of $500 or more we offer free local delivery! We will do everything we can do to get the product where you want it, but even we have limitations (cranes and additional help may be required to get some of the heavier or bulkier items to their final location). We offer free delivery to the following geographic boundaries: Tahoma (southwest), Incline (southeast), Verdi (east), Sierraville (north), Cisco Grove (west).

Installation of Fireplaces and Stoves

We install 95% of the fireplaces and stoves we sell. We are talking about fire in your house, it has to be done right for your peace of mind.

Adhering to manufacturers' requirements as well as meeting local codes is a crucial part to ensure that your project goes smoothly, safely and the unit performs as intended. Many of the products are incredibly heavy and bulky, and roofs up here can be quite challenging. We provide the proper tools, personnel and training of staff to meet these challenges. We are also the only local installation company that follows OSHA guidelines for safety on roofs.

Chimney + Stove Pipe Sweeping

During most of the year we offer chimney sweeping service. Woodstove and fireplace manufacturers recommend sweeping at least once a year. Performance and more importantly safety can be serious compromised by not sweeping the system.

So how often should it be swept? If it has seen any significant use during the year, plan on yearly. More often it will be required if you chronically burn "dampered-down" fires. Also green or wet wood will cause excessive creosote build-up. Any body that has experienced a chimney fire can tell you it is a frightening experience. Chimney fires (and especially repetitive chimney fires) are a leading cause of house fires and can be avoided by burning properly and having your chimney swept regularly.

Repairs, Warranty Maintenance

At Mountain Home Center we back our customers up with providing warranty repairs for all product we sell, many competitors do not. We built our business backing the products we sell, and the manufacturers that we work with built their business the same way. If an Out-of-Warranty repair is needed, we are there as well. Unlike most competitors we stock the most common replacement parts for the manufacturers we handle, and can make timely repairs on your fireplace or spa- even during the winter. We also offer yearly services on gas fireplaces. Manufacturers recommend an annual service, cleaning and inspection on all gas fireplaces. Monthly spa maintenance contracts are also available to our spa customers. Maintenance is performed by factory trained Service Technicians to ensure that your fireplace or spa is ready for your enjoyment.
